Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, invites eligible candidates to attend a Walk-in Interview for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The fellowship is initially offered for a period of two years and provides an opportunity to work on advanced research projects in the field of Chemistry, Material Science and Polymer Science.

Educational Qualification
For Basic Sciences Candidates:
- Post Graduate Degree in the relevant discipline in First Division.
- Must possess valid NET qualification.
- Graduate Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in the relevant discipline in First Division with valid NET/GATE score.
- OR
- Post Graduate Degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in the relevant discipline in First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 28 Years as on the date of interview.
- SC/ST Candidates: 05 Years relaxation.
- OBC Candidates: 03 Years relaxation.
- OBC candidates belonging to Creamy Layer are not eligible for age relaxation.
Fellowship & Benefits
- Fellowship Amount: ₹37,000/- per month (1st & 2nd Year).
- Contingency Grant: Up to ₹15,000/- per annum for the first two years on reimbursement basis.
- Contingency Grant may be increased to ₹20,000/- per annum for subsequent years.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per Government rules.
- Medical facilities for self through MI Room facility available in the campus.
- JRFs are not entitled to DA, CCA, Bonus, Retirement Benefits or similar allowances.
- Award of fellowship does not confer any right to future employment in DRDO.
Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview.
- Verification of Educational Qualifications.
- Verification of NET/GATE Qualification.
- Document Verification.
- Final Selection based on Interview Performance.
- The number of fellowships may vary depending upon requirement.
- DMSRDE reserves the right not to select any candidate if suitable candidates are not available.
